"The most popular restaurants serving Maui’s local community and those return visitors in the know are part of the Cafe O’Lei family, owned and operated by two dedicated chefs Dana and Michael Pastula. Cafe O’Lei restaurants are located in Kihei, Kahului and also Makawao.
After many years working as a chef for Hyatt and Sheraton hotels, Chef Mike moved his family to Hawaii and began to work for local companies such as The Lodge at Koele in Lanai, Aston Resorts and Outrigger Resorts Hawaii then finally joining Dana to open their own restaurants. Dana brought her food and beverage experience from Hyatt, Manele Bay Resort and Wailea Four Seasons Resort. Their collaboration has proved to be the magic touch in cooking and welcoming guests from Maui and all over the world!
As the newest restaurant of the Cafe O’Lei family ‘ami ‘ami is an open air restaurant featuring contemporary design. Here you will find delicious breakfast and dinners served daily to both locals and Maui visitors. Some of the most popular breakfast items include Banana’s Foster Pancakes, Kalua Pork Hash and Eggs and a local style Loco Moco! Dinner features creative comfort food, Jidori Chicken, Braised Shortribs, Steaks and Seafood. The bar offers great martinis and original cocktails.

We had the braised short ribs(huge yummy serving size which was awesome), macadamia nut crusted chicken (yum), and the salmon (yum again). The appetizers (calamari, hummus, chicken satay) were very appetizing and delicious. All in all, outstanding work all around and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect caterer to help celebrate our wedding day!"
